Those purchasing a PlayStation 4 early have had PlayStation Plus pushed their way frequently. It is all over the PlayStation Store, most games come with a free seven day trial and if you already had it for your Vita or PlayStation 3, it lives on in this new console. This push is only further emphasised by the need for PlayStation Plus to access multiplayer in games like Battlefield 4 and to receive weekly discounts at the PlayStation Store. Of all this Resogun is the best reason to have PlayStation Plus on the newly released console.

Review: Shape Jam (iPhone)

Recently I succumbed to the advertising on several of the Podcasts I listen to and started playing Lumosity. It’s a good app, a little restricted for people who don’t want to buy a yearly subscription, but overall pretty good. Basically the idea is brain training by giving you a random assortment of games every day and you have to beat your previously highest score. Loading up Shape Jam, it feels like you are playing just one Lumosity game but with the added twist of playing against someone online.

Game collection titles are an interesting oddity. From an uninformed viewpoint they seem like the best of both worlds, as developers are given the freedom to mess around with several dozen different mechanics and players are given more variety for their money. Unfortunately, most game collections are poorly made, and these games are typically best ignored by informed players unless they are truly bored. It is sad because there is good potential in game collections for experimentation.

Over the past decade, zombies have gone from African/ Haitian reanimated corpse (depending on which mythology you choose to believe is the genesis for the zombie) to horror monster to an apocalyptic force in media, especially in the world of video games.

Enjoy Gaming has been coming out with quite a few DSiWare games over the last couple of months, and while some of them like Little Red Riding Hood and Puss In Boots from the Tales to Enjoy! series were aimed at small children, Astro looks to be geared toward an older crowd by presenting a shooting title set against a science fiction story.

Review: Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U)

Back when the 3DS didn't have much software to speak of, I found myself hopelessly addicted to Pokémon Rumble Blast. It was addictive in short bursts and offered a nice little level structure that had me wanting to replay levels over and over again to catch all the critters.

Pokémon Rumble U is not Pokémon Rumble Blast. In a massive backstep from the strides the 3DS game took for this sub-franchise, Pokémon Rumble U is little more than the Wii Pokémon Rumble game.
